Continuing Education Credit: These programs are approved for six (6) clinical CEU contact hours for Social Workers by the Louisiana Association of Clinical Social Workers as authorized by the LA State Board of Social Work Examiners. The Louisiana Counseling Association is approved by the Louisiana Licensed Professional Board of Examiners to offer continuing education for Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors and Provisional Licensed Professional Counselors. These programs meet requirements up to 6.0 continuing education clock hours for Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors.

The Louisiana Association of Clinical Social Workers (LACSW) was founded in 1985 by clinical social workers to further the efforts and emphatically protect the legality of clinical social work vendorship. LACSW is a voluntary association whose mission is “to define, represent, promote, and protect clinical social work as a knowledge- based, client-centered profession which provides quality mental health services to the general public.” With a membership that reflects all nine regions of the state of Louisiana, our association has been delivering effective clinical social work advocacy for 30 years.
Our website lacsw.org is a key resource to all information pertaining to clinical social work, professional development and includes an electronic database of all of our members. As a member, you will be a part of this database and will be able to promote our profession through your own professional profile. You will also receive discounts to the workshops we sponsor during the year, legislative advocacy and updated information on clinical social work practices. Please note that your dues are used to pay our lobbyist and are not tax deductible however saves you much more by protecting your practice.
