Averie McCauley, LCSW-BACS
Averie McCauley, MSW, LCSW-BACS, led the Louisiana Association of Clinical Social Workersv(LACSW) as President 2019–2021, and remains on the board as a mentor member.
The only psychotherapist certified in both Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting (BSP) in Louisiana, Averie is passionate about bringing healing to
those who have experienced traumatic life events. As a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor (BACS) and an EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) Approved Consultant, Averie enjoys
providing supervision, consultation, and continuing education to mental health professionals.
Averie is Co-Chair of the Louisiana Trauma Recovery Network (LATRN), a volunteer group dedicated to providing EMDR treatment to first responders and their families. Her private practice, Crescent City Psychotherapy & Wellness, LLC, is located in mid-city New Orleans.
Averie’s early experience includes serving as Director of Psychological Health for the Marine Corps Reserve Psychological Health Outreach Program, providing dual-diagnosis treatment at
Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, and working with first generation college students at Louisiana State University. Averie earned a Master in Social Work from Tulane
University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University.
