Averie McCauley, LCSW-BACS
Averie McCauley, MSW, LCSW-BACS, is the current President of the Louisiana Association of Clinical Social Workers (2019-2021). She is an EMDR and Brainspotting Certified Psychotherapist and is passionate about bringing healing to those who have experienced traumatic life events. Averie also enjoys providing consultation and continuing education to mental health professionals and psycho-education to the community. She is Co-Chair of the Louisiana Trauma Recovery Network and serves in other regional leadership roles. Her private practice, Crescent City Psychotherapy and Wellness, is located in Old Metairie.
Prior to private practice, Averie served as Director of Psychological Health for the Marine Corps Reserve Psychological Health Outreach Program. Her earlier work experience includes providing dual-diagnosis treatment at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and working with first generation college students at Louisiana State University. Averie earned a Master in Social Work from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University.
